Prof Steffen Lehmann
Professor Steffen Lehmann, PhD, AA Dipl, is a German-Australian architect-engineer, urbanist,
author and educator, registered as a chartered architect and urban designer in Berlin. He is CoDirector of the CAC_SUD centre and Executivve Director of the sd+b Centre at the University of
South Australia. In 2014, he is a Visiting Professor at Tianjin University.

Professor Andy Koronios, PhD, is the Head of the School of Computer & Information Science, in
the Division of Information Technology, Engineering & the Environment. Andy has extensive
experience in both commercial and academic environments, nationally and internationally.

Prof Dayang WANG
Professor Dayang Wang, PhD, studied chemistry at Jilin University, Changchun, China, where he
obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Polymer Materials in 1993 and a PhD in Polymer
Chemistry and Physics in 1998. Dayang joined The Wark Institute at UniSA in July 2010.

Professor John Boland, PhD, is a Professor of Environmental Mathematics at the School of
Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences at the Division of Information Technology,
Engineering and the Environment, UniSA, and a member of various professional associations.

Dr Jian ZUO
Dr. Jian Zuo is a senior lecturer at the School of Natural and Built Environments in the Division
of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment, UniSA. In 2008 he attained his
PhD degree at the University of South Australia and his thesis was titled, "Project culture in the
Australian construction industry: lessons for China".

Dr Xing MA
Dr. Xing Ma is a civil engineer and senior lecturer at the School of Natural and Built
Environments, UniSA. He has been involved in teaching and research in civil engineering for
more than 10 years and was a lecturer at Tongji University after completing his PhD study.

Dr. Jing GAO is a senior lecturer at the School of Information Technology and Mathematical

Dr Conrad H. Philipp
Dr. Conrad H. Philipp is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the sd+b Centre, specialising in
Urban Microclimates and he is working together with Prof Steffen Lehmann on the CRC for Low
Carbon Living project 'Urban Micro Climates: Comparative Study of Major Contributors to the
Urban Heat Island in three Australian cities (Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide)'.

Dr Nicholas Chileshe
Dr. Nicholas Chileshe is a construction manager and senior lecturer at the School of Natural and
Built Environments at UniSA. He attained his PhD degree in Construction Management at
Sheffield Hallam University, UK and his thesis was titled: “The Application of TQM within Small
and Medium Sized Construction Related Organisations”.

Prof Edwin H.W. CHAN
Professor Edwin H.W. Chan, PhD, studied architecture and then law at the London University
and Hong Kong University. He obtained his PhD degree on construction dispute management.
He is currently involved with teaching, research and consultancy on development control policy,
Green/Healthy Building, construction law/dispute resolution and age-friendly Hong Kong.

Dr Queena K. QIAN
Dr. Queena Kun Qian is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Building & Real Estate Dept. at
HKPolyU. She was a visiting researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley Lab and completed her PhD in
2012 at the HKPolyU with a study on “Barriers to energy-efficient buildings in China”. In 2013,
she held a Post-doc Endeavour Award scholarship at UniSA.
