The course will also survey some general music programs for young children (ages 0-5) that can help prepare students for preschool music lessons and serve as an additional source of income and student recruitment for piano teachers. The 2014 jazz workshop offers 6 different sessions (July – August) at the Blake School in Minneapolis. Each session meets for one week with students rehearsing in a combo setting for three hours each day. All programs conclude with a Saturday afternoon student concert and live recording.
