von Kalt Bach “Cold Creek Shepherds” and breeders Leslie Greenson and/or Roseann DeLuca
offer for sale the following German Shepherd puppy described below. By completing this contract the
buyer and the breeders agree to adhere to terms set forth for the lifetime of the dog.

While we will consider your color preference, it is best to match puppies with owners based on
temperament first based on genetic tendencies observed from birth. However, environment and training
play a huge part in how your puppy will mature. We will guide you towards the best choice puppy based
on the natural genetics we see from birth.
If there are not enough puppies born of the requested sex, at the buyers discretion, the deposit may be
refunded or transferred to the next upcoming litter.
Breeder reserves the right to fully refund a deposit at any time.

Any puppies held one week past the pick up date would be charged $35.00 per day.
USA buyers will need to obtain a Confinement Agreement from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) in
order to import the puppy to the USA without the currently required rabies vaccination at 8 weeks old. We
need a copy and proof of acceptance of agreement one-month prior to pick up date. It is strongly
encouraged that you pursue obtaining this agreement as soon as puppies are born. 800-CDC-INFO

1. The puppy was examined by a veterinarian and found to be in good health, and has been vaccinated
(and or) treated with holistic/homeopathic preventions appropriate to the age of puppy. Buyer has 2 (two)
days to have this puppy examined by their own veterinarian. Buyer has 7 (seven) days to return this
puppy at their own expense for full refund of purchase price. Any additional charges such as veterinarian
bills etc. are not reimbursable.
2. von Kalt Bach Kennel breeds from only dogs certified clear of hip and elbow dysplasia. We also are
breeding in effort to eliminate degenerative myelopathy (DM) in the breed. All puppies from von Kalt
Bach will be either Clear or Passive Carrier (passive carriers will not be symptomatic of DM disease).
3. The breeder guarantees this puppy’s hips, elbows and other major genetic abnormalities up to the
age of 26 months old. Major genetic abnormalities can be but not limited to: heart, cancer. Ears and
testicles are not considered major genetic abnormalities and are not guaranteed.
If a hip/elbow issue arises within that time, X-rays must be submitted to OFA for official evaluation.
Original OFA document verifying dysplasia and x-rays must be forwarded to our veterinarian and us.
Information on any other genetic issues must also be forwarded directly from your veterinarian to our
veterinarian and us as needed for any determinations to be made regarding replacement puppy. Dog
must be spayed/neutered and a replacement puppy will be given from next available litter of same value.
The price difference, if any, will need to be paid by buyer. No refunds for dog, veterinary, testing fees/xrays, shipping (or any other expenses) will be given. Buyer may keep the dog or return it at their
expense.
4. The buyer agrees to not to ever euthanize this dog without consulting first with the breeder.
The buyer agrees that if a time arises that he/she is unable to keep the dog; the breeder will be notified
and we will help find as suitable home for the dog or take the dog back with no monetary reimbursement.
5. Buyer agrees to provide safe guards for this dog’s well being, including but not limited to, proper diet,
training, proper socialization, shelter, exercise, companionship, veterinary care. Buyer also agrees that
this dog will not be tied or chained in any way, unless briefly, or allowed to roam free, but will be supplied
a fenced yard, large kennel, or proper outdoor supervision.
6. It is required that buyer attend a motivational kindergarten class with the puppy within one month of
purchasing puppy. Von Kalt Bach Kennels can help you find an appropriate class in your area. We will
also give you help with any training or behavioral questions throughout the lifetime of your dog.
7. The puppy paper work includes, veterinary information, pedigree, and microchip registration
information and papers to register the puppy.

8. We want to be updated on all our puppies throughout their lifetime. Buyer also agrees to keep seller
updated with changes in phone, email, and address and provide occasional pictures of the puppy.
9. Additional temperament guaranteeDue to balanced genetics, with the right training and upbringing, this puppy should display natural ability
for almost any type of sport or work. Due balanced genetics, this puppy should also be a suitable
companion for any home environment as well. If for any reason your puppy does not meet your
expectations he/she may be returned under the following conditions prior to one year of agePuppy must not be spayed/neutered for this part guarantee to be honored; buyer will assume any
shipping return charges. Replacement puppy must be taken from next available litter and any price
difference between puppies and shipping would be the responsibility of the buyer.
10. It is understood and agreed that this contract of sale is made and signed by all parties to unsure the
well being and protection of the dog.
11. All puppies are sold initially on a non- breeding contract. The non-breeding contract may be lifted if
your puppy AND the breeding partner dog meet following conditions for breeding. If so, we will help and
support you in effort to continue our bloodlines.
Dog is certified free of hip/elbow dysplasia; (partner dog may by certified by service other than OFA)

Kennels. This is to ensure the continued health, temperament and versatile working ability of the German
shepherd dog as a breed. We are very proud of our dogs as very well rounded working partners and
family companions and will support you with guidance as needed for the lifetime of your relationship with
your dog.
