1. Introduction, monitoring issues and occurrence and modeling of emerging contaminants,
2. Source-medium-receptor modeling,
3. Risk assessment framework and statistical considerations, data needs, and
4. Case Studies: Risk estimation due to exposures to nanoparticles, pharmaceuticals, volatile
organic compounds, bioaerosols, etc. (group of 4-5 participants)
Learning Objectives (in terms of intended terminal abilities of the participants)
1. To learn about emerging contaminants
2. To know about human health risk assessment framework and its application for emerging
contaminants (EC)
3. To understand data requirements for conducting HHRA of emerging contaminants
4. To identity data needs for reducing uncertainties in risk estimation
