You will meet your instructor for the course, with lunch at the Inn, at 1pm who will discuss the plan for the coming days and chat through your personal aims for the course. Once you have met your instructor it will be time to get on the water! The first afternoon will be spent chatting about kit, learning some basic skills and enjoying the beautiful scenery that the area has to offer. After our session on the water we will return with time for you to sort out kit and make use of our drying room. Your instructor will then meet you again at 7 30pm in the Inn for an evening meal & review of the day. Day 2: Your instructor will meet you for breakfast in the Inn at 8 30am and discuss the days plans based on weather forecast, after this we will pack up and head off for a day on the water! Our first full day on the water gives us an opportunity to explore more of the area and we will take a packed lunch provided by the Inn to picnic along the way. Today day will be spent on a journey, developing our Sea Kayak handling and learning new skills and strokes along the way. After returning to the Inn there will once again be time to sort out our gear, then an opportunity to relax for a couple hours by exploring the loch-side walks, enjoying the hotel grounds and seeing the kitchen garden, before dinner and a de-brief at 7 30pm. Day 3: Breakfast will again be at 8 30am, giving us another chance to chat through the days plans. We will check out of our rooms before we leave for the day. Our final full day will take us on another journey to explore more of the area and put our skills learnt over the course in to practice. With some fine tuning along the way of personal skills, and another chance for us to learn new ones, you should leave the water ready to develop your kayak skills even further in the future! With another great day had on the water we will return for coffee at the Inn and one final chat with your instructor. After a de-brief it will be time to head home, or perhaps stay on for some of the other great activities going on throughout the Mountain and Sea Festival! Why not join our guided walks up the classic mountains of the Torridon area that take place the three days immediately after the course?
