Dear Parents/Caregivers
Junior Reports and parent Teacher Interviews – Cycle 2
Wednesday
Junior reports and interviews are timed to coincide with the 6
monthly and yearly anniversary of when a child started school. This
is done to match the National Standards. This means if your child
is in the junior school and didn’t get a report last term they will this
term. The reports will come home today, including instructions on
how to book an interview. If the times available don’t work for you
please contact your child’s teacher to arrange an alternative. We
hope every parent will be able to attend an interview.

SPORTS RESULTS
Hockey
Pukete Eagles played against Te Totara Tigers in the glorious
sunshine and won 5-0.
It was a great game to watch! You have all been listening to Ms
Herron and putting into practice what she has been teaching
you. You are certainly improving each week. You showed great
skill getting the ball wide for each other, backed up by some terrific
support play as well. You all kept to your positions this week and
this helped you come away with another great win. Well done
team, keep up that fantastic drive you all have! Goals were scored
by Ryan (2), Kaitlyn (2) and Tiana (1). Player of the day went to
Steph for trying and trying and trying to score a goal. Well done
Steph your effort will soon pay off!
Pukete Seals played Te Totara on
Saturday and won three – nil. Goals
were scored by Brianna, George, and
Brooke, great work guys. The Seals had
to work hard in attack to keep possession
of the ball, displaying great team
work. Te Totara’s defence was brilliant
and we had several fabulous attempts at
goals which unfortunately did not make it.
Brianna ‘s goal was well played in a very
congested goal area with Te Totara also
hitting the ball into the goal. Player of the
day and the Toyworld voucher was awarded to Macie (pictured) for
displaying great courage and determination. Well done Macie!
Pukete Smurfs played Ngahinapouri Greensticks on Saturday and
won 4-1. It was great to see the team putting into play the use of
the wings in defence avoiding the bounce back of the ball when
shooting up the middle. Great teamwork within the strikers!
Breanna, Kaia, Emma and Sophie! Great stuff girls. Kaia scored 3
goals and Breanna 1. Ewan, Jordon and Gurkarat getting
themselves involved in the game a lot more this week. Tackling
and chasing after the ball. Player of the day was awarded to
Gurkarat. A new team member and his first year at hockey. He
brings a smile to practice and the game each week. He’s very
eager to learn and is gaining confidence each week which is
evident in his game. He got stuck in and attacked the ball and
followed through, coming very close to scoring a goal. Keep up the
great work Gurkarat. Jordon got Smurf of the day ,she displayed
courage by getting involved a lot more this week, demanding the
ball and flicking it off to our waiting strikers. Great job. Start
believing in yourself Jordon, the Smurfs are backing you all the
way. Mason and Lily played a super game. Feeling very proud of
our team. We have a big team and I love the way you are all so
considerate of each other! Go Smurfs! Good luck for Saturday!
