Brief Interventions in Child Mental Health for Pediatric Clinicians – May 7,
2011 and June 4, 2011
A conference sponsored by the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics
Maryland’s AAP chapter sponsored a two-part conference designed to help health providers
effectively combat mental health problems among their pediatric patients. Topics ranged from
developing a behavior modification plan to brief interventions to enhance family communication,
and from screening for mental health concerns to facilitating a mental health referral.
