Canadian Mental Health Association has an opening for a Psychiatrist for our ACTT clients in Barrie.
The psychiatrist provides clinical services to all ACT clients; works with the team manager to monitor each client’s
clinical status and response to treatment; supervises staff delivery of services; and directs psychopharmacologic and
medical services. The ACT psychiatrist functions as a team member, not just as a consultant to the team. The team
psychiatrist sees clients and has clinical supervisory responsibilities for clients and staff, regularly participates in
daily staff organizational meetings and treatment planning meetings, and directs operation of the medication and
medical services.
What can you expect?
-4 days/week (28hours) Ideally Monday- Thursday
-Work as part of an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team
-Work with client with serious mental illness and addiction issues
-Client centred, recovery based program
-Some exposure to teaching team, agency and individuals completing internships
-No on call or weekends
Requirements
-A psychiatrist familiar with the ACTT model is a bonus
-Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
-Client centred and recovery oriented agency, focused on innovation and new technology -location
-A growing team that is enthusiastic about client care
-Registered in Ontario
