Title: Michelangelo: The Artist
I learned about an artist named Michelangelo. He is so famous he is known by one name
only. Known for creative works in multiple media, the religious leaders of his day sought him
out--he was extremely talented.
First of all, no matter what kind of art people study, they will study Michelangelo. He
was “a sculptor, painter, and architect “(Michelangelo”). He was multi-talented!
In fact, he was so talented; he painted a very important place of worship. The pop of
this time requested Michelangelo to paint the most significant Catholic Church: the Sistine
Chapel (“Michelangelo Biography”) I bet he was very honored and excited to do that!
To top it all, he is widely respected to this day. Experts write he is, “Perhaps the
gr3eatest…Not even Leonardo da Vinci could match him” (Stanley). That’s pretty amazing.
In summary, I’m sure I will study him later in art class, and hopefully visit the Sistine
Chapel someday. Even Leonardo might be jealous.
