INVISIBLE WALLS WALES
This is a new project which seeks to integrate the support and interventions offered to specific men in custody with
support, treatment and advice to the whole family. The range of services will be tailored to individual families and will
include mentoring support, group work, mediation, conferencing, parenting and other related services according to need.
Core aims of the Invisible Walls Wales Project:





Reduce the likelihood of reoffending and custody.
Reduce the likelihood/escalation of intergenerational crime.
Increase the prosocial community inclusion for the family.
IWW will be delivered within Parc prison and out into the community.
IWW will target families in critical need of multi-systemic support, and where
the father of the children is in/will be in prison custody.


IWW will offer a high level of support for the whole family for up to a year
leading to the fathers release from custody, and then for a further 6 months post release.
In pursuit of the 3 core aims, IWW will support positive family outcomes in:
resettlement, relapse prevention, accommodation, finance/debt, ETE, substance misuse, physical and mental well-being, relationships,
