SISLER YEARBOOK 2015
Getting the 2015 yearbook to the grads on time is our goal this year.
We cannot make that possible if we do not receive the support and cooperation of the
2015 Grads.
It is YOUR job to make sure you have all of your work submitted to the Yearbook
Committee by the deadline.
When we post things on the wall by Mr Carrington’s room, it is your responsibility to
read and carry through with what is asked of you.
Later in the year, we will have a list of all the Graduates and their grad picture. You
must come and sign to make sure we have your picture.
If you do not do this, you may not be in the yearbook.
WE ARE NOT REPSONSIBLE FOR MISSING PICTURES.
Grad Quotes/Write Ups due December 19th, 2014
NO WRITE UP WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.
-
Please keep them as short as possible; between 150-250 characters (a bit longer
than a Tweet).
Please do not make grammar errors to satisfy the character limit. We will not
remove your write up if it’s only 251 characters.
In Mr Carrington’s words, “Do not use a write up/quote your grandmother would
be offended by. Keep it appropriate, please!
We retain the right to discard any inappropriate quotes.
THERE IS NO:
 Swearing
 Profanity
 Sexuality
 Bullying
 Harassment of any kind
Any submitted write up/quote that falls in the categories above will be reported ro Mr
Carrington and NOT be included in the yearbook.

FEES AND FUNDRAISERS
Students will fundraise for both a general pot (overall funds) and their own individual
account. Students could use this money in their individual account to purchase Grad
clothing and or Grad tickets.
One fundraiser is a cash raffle. The funds generated from this raffle go into the
general pot to pay for things such as music, decorating, and security.
Graduates must sell at least THREE BOOKS of these tickets, if not more; each book
contains ten tickets and the price is $2.00 per ticket.
For every raffle book sold after the required three, each grad student will get a
bonus of $3 put into their individual account.
There is also a Sobey’s fundraiser, details to follow.
The other fundraiser is a bud, spud and steak! This is a fundraising dinner where you
buy a ticket for a beer, potatoes, and a steak, and you can enter a silent auction for a
chance to win prizes.
We need parents to get involved by selling tickets and getting prizes for the silent
auction as well!
It is possible for us to have extra funds by the end of the fundraisers. The amount of
extra money depends on the final number of tickets sold and our final cost, including
damage costs if any.
Any extra funds will go into the school’s general funds.
GRAD FEES
To make the ordering process simple, all Grade 12 graduating students pay a one-time
fee for all services involving graduation. The fee is $125 (non-refundable) and will
cover these items:
1. Sisler Yearbook personalized with color photos of graduation.
2. Graduation Cap and Gown rental
3. Graduation souvenirs
4. Grad Photo at the Church
5. Photo I.D. for the Graduation Dinner and Dance (This does not include the
price of the ticket.)
This $125 must be paid separately from fundraiser earnings. If you do not
separate this payment, the responsibility for any mix-up is yours.
The deadline for these fees will be February 13th and must be paid to Mr. Carrington in
room 89 by 12:30 pm.
Fees can be paid during lunch hours from 11:50 to 12:20 on DAYS 2,4,6 beginning
September 29th! Students not paying by the February 13th deadline may be required to
pay an additional late fee of $50! Students who pay by January 23rd are entered into a
draw for a free grad ticket. Please pay on time.
7
CASH RAFFLE
As said earlier, grads must sell at least three books of these tickets! Each ticket is $2.00
and there are 10 tickets per book.
Grads, if you do not sell at least three books your Grad ticket will cost
$60.00 more. For parents, if your child did not sell the three cash
raffle books your ticket(s) will cost $30 more per ticket.
Money and ticket stubs MUST BE RETURNED to Mr. Carrington in room 89 during
the lunch hour (11:50 to 12:30) as soon as you have completed selling the books.
The deadline to have all books sold and returned is February 20th, 2015.
If you don’t sell and return the books on time, you will be charged a $25 late fee.
We need time to separate tickets and to track all tickets sold. If we lose track, you will
pay the amount of the prize money to anyone you sold a ticket.
If you need more books, contact Tracy at 694-3724 or 990-3422.
The more books sold, the more money we raise to make Safe Grad cheaper!
Please sell as many books as you can over and above the
minimum. IF YOU TAKE BOOKS, THEY MUST BE SOLD, YOU
CANNOT RETURN THEM UNSOLD.
Ticket books and money must be returned in a sealed envelope. Convert all change to
