Janny Green Jones Educational Scholarship
The Janny Green Jones Educational Scholarship is designated for graduating high school seniors from Alexandria‐
Monroe High School who plan to pursue a degree in education.
The Janny Green Jones Educational Scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following eligibility
requirements:
 Have been a Madison County Resident for 12 months prior to application.
 Are graduating seniors from Alexandria-Monroe High School.
 Plan to pursue a degree in education.
Eligible applicants for this scholarship will be evaluated on the following criteria:
 Demonstration of academic excellence
o GPA
o SAT/ACT

Applications are due to the offices of the Madison County Community Foundation by 4pm on Thursday, February 26, 2015.
Applications may be hand delivered or delivered via postal service. Postmarks are not accepted as proof of delivery. Complete the
2015 General Scholarship Application in full, including all required attachments, and submit the original, clearly
marked as such on this Cover Page, and staple. Additionally, submit seven stapled copies of the completed Application, Cover Page
and appropriate attachments (as listed above) for review by the Scholarship Committee. Incomplete or late applications will
