Thorpe Park Trip
This trip is going ahead this Saturday!
Please communicate with your parents about
the information attached…
Details of coaches have been provided – these
lists will not be changed so please sit on the
correct coach and use every seat, whilst
keeping the front row free for staff.
Note: I have kept students in the same form
together on the coaches, although year groups
have had to be split over the two.
When in Thorpe park you will be asked to stay
in a groups of four people (as a minimum) but
you will be allowed to go around on your own,
without staff! Park maps will be provided.

Thorpe Park Details:
Leave: 5.30am from TGGS bus bay (Please be at school by 5.15am so that we can be on the
road at 5.30am) There will be NO other pick-up points, sorry.
Coaches: Miss Beard will organise the coaches – you will be with people from your from group
/ year group where possible. I will try and keep friends together.
Drop offs: There will be two drop off points on the way home at Exeter Services and
Penn Inn Roundabout in Newton Abbot. If you would like to get dropped off at either of
these points you MUST bring in a note BEFORE the trip to advise me of where you will be
getting dropped off (Please give directly to Miss Beard). If you do not get dropped off we
will return you to the bus bay at school.
Return: We will be leaving Thorpe Park at 6.00pm. We anticipate being back at school by
approximately 10-10.30pm. Please tell your parents that you will communicate with them on
the way home via mobile phone regarding pick up times at the different locations.
Meals: We will be having one service station stop on the way up and one on the way home;
therefore you will be able to buy meals. In addition you will be able to buy food in Thorpe
Park as they have a range of restaurants and fast food venues. I suggest you bring a decent
packed lunch so that you can tuck into it on the way there and way back (You can leave
excess food on the coach during the day).
What else to bring:







Mobile phone
Money
Change of clothes (this can be left on the coach but you may appreciate it if you get
wet on the giant log flume!)
Sufficient warm clothing
Sensible shoes (e.g. not flip flops due to the rides)
Cushion – for comfortable sleeping on the coach
Small bag (not rucksack) for the day, so that you can take it on and off rides easily.
(Larger bags can be kept on the coach)
