Executive Public Health Administration & Policy (E-PHAP), M.P.H.
The Executive Public Health Administration & Policy (E-PHAP) distance program is tailored to working
public health professional’s currently in or seeking leadership roles in government agencies, nonprofits,
and other organizations that aim to improve the health of populations. Students will gain skills in
managing public health organizations, developing and implementing public health policy and applying
research to programs and policy performance.
Program Curriculum
Students may complete the EPHAP program in 25 months of fulltime study by earning 35 credits of
online coursework and attending
five, two-credit, on-campus
sessions for a total of 17 days of
face-to-face instruction.
All students complete a master’s
project in an area of interest related
to public health. In addition, they
design a field experience to develop
competencies in public health
administration practice and to
enhance career prospects after
graduation. Students are
encouraged to choose projects at
their place of employment.
The proposed curriculum with

outlined below.

credits fulfilling the MPH core and
26 additional credits consisting of
the E-PHAP core.
Seven credits are delivered during
on campus sessions. Two credits
will be left for electives. Students
may complete these electives
through our current online offerings
or through approved electives in the
SPH Public Health Institute offered
each spring and summer semester.
