Why recycling is beneficial to mankind and the environment
Recycling is good for the environment and for people. Recycling is good because we
make new products from old products, it makes the environment clean, it can also save energy
and lastly it could reduce garbage in landfills. These are just a few reasons to why recycling is
good for the environment, but there are also many other ways that recycling helps keep the
environment clean. Recycling is good for both people and for the environment, both can benefit
from it not just one over the other.
First of all recycling helps make new products. The reason to why it helps makes new
products is because we use the old produce to make the new product. That’s the beauty of
recycling, making things go around in a circle and not making things go to waste. The way this
way of recycling works is by using the old gently used material and bringing it back to the same
new yet reused material it once was. Making the old product reusable by recycling helps save
resources that we have, this is good because it will reduce the use of those resources and won’t
make us use them all the time. Reducing the use of the resources makes having them around
longer and for the future. This cycle of recycling helps products be made into something new and
have the change to be reused instead of using other resources, this helps save resources for other
things not allowing them to be wasted.
Another environment friendly way to recycle is to throw away anything that is in no need
of use to you. Make sure that the things that you use and not used are separated; it makes sure
that the items that are unused can be made into new material by recycling. When you find these

items that are no longer good enough for you to use, you’re able to take them down to the local
recycling center to have them dispose of it properly. Recycling old products and things you don’t
need will help reduce trash in landfills. Recycling is a better way than just throwing something
out and having it end up in landfills when it could be used for a new product.
The next thing that recycling could help the environment is would be saving energy.
Saving energy is a big thing to think about, it could reduce the effects of global warming. Saving
or reusing energy saves money and the environment. Energy saving is a way of decreasing the
amount of power you’re using and having the same amount of power as you would normally
have. This action of saving energy is used to reduce or decrease the amount of energy that is
being used. You are able to save energy by turning off such items or objects that require energy
to power them, for example lights in a room, the television and many other items. Using
microwave instead of the oven helps save energy because it takes less energy to power the
microwave than an oven. Rechargeable batteries are helpful because you are able to repower
them and not go out of your way to buy new ones that aren’t rechargeable. The amount of
recycling products depends on what type of material is being recycled. (EPA)
Recycling also saves money as well, not just saving energy or reusing materials to make
new ones. When you use a microwave instead of an oven, you’re not only saving energy but also
money and the reason for this is because it takes less energy to have the microwave working than
it does for the oven. Big business use recycling as a method to help save money as well as
helping the environment. It also takes less money for a recycling center to run than a landfill
center. So recycling can be helpful in many way not just for mankind to benefit from this
resource but for the environment to be healthy and clean. EPA says “almost all recycling
processes save significant amounts of energy when compared with processes that use virgin

materials.” EPA has ways of determining how much energy you can save by recycling certain
products, and this is called “individual Waste Reduction Model (iWARM)”
Because of Recycling people have a chance of the following saving the environment,
helping clean the earth by saving money, energy and saving waste lands that are used for
garbage. Garbage waste lands can be eliminated by recycling. Recycling can also help old
washed up no longer good products or materials be made into new ones that are beneficial to
people and can be reused in the future. These things can be useful to help clean the environment
we live in and help people and old items or materials. Keeping the environment clean, fresh and
saving resources allows people to feel the same way; it allows our resources to be around long
for future generations and not just for our generation.
