The PassAssured Pharmacology for Medical Careers program is undergoing a complete revision in all sections for the 2015-16 school year. From narratives to photos, the entire program is being updated with the latest pharmacology regulations and procedures. This on-line program continues to provide an opportunity for pharmacy technician national certification and/or preparation for postsecondary medical schooling. In this interactive workshop, you will be introduced to a new method of learning Anatomy and Physiology. We will discuss how to teach skeletal, muscular, and other body systems in a powerful, kinesthetic way using clay! In this workshop we will concentrate on how to build muscles in clay!

HomeTown Health University” In this session, Jennie Price with

) will share about some of the partnerships her rural hospital education organization has been able to form over the past few years to provide online accredited education to high school students. HomeTown Health University provides online education and certifications through a wide Course
Catalog of topics, including hospital compliance, Business Office and Revenue Cycle, Physician Office education, Health IT, ICD-10
Preparedness, Long Term Care, and other needs of healthcare providers. Through partnering with high school HOSA and health science schools, teachers are able to supplement their students' curriculum with real-world and current topic education. HTHU education is also accepted to meet and fulfill the new Georgia
Board of Nursing continuing education requirements for teaching nurses.

“Building the Sports Medicine Program” This session will describe the building of the Sports Medicine program which allows students to bridge the gap from the classroom to real world experiences in various internship sites while working with professionals in the field. Topics to be discussed will include how the program was built from the ground up, dual enrollment, and the integration of
HOSA while on a block system with students completing pathways in one year. We will also discuss the classroom Rehabilitation
Room where student athletes are treated, as well as highlight the many innovative ways success has been achieved. Our continued focus on community partners and how those relationships have culminated in a wonderful support system will also be covered.

Perform appropriate dental charting utilizing recognized symbols, abbreviations, charts, and classifications and maintain confidentiality when handling patient records adhering to the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines.
