2015 BOB DAVIES MEMORIAL HORSESHOE TOURNAMENT This year’s BOB DAVIES MEMORIAL HORSESHOE TOURNAMENT was held on Saturday, July 25. 20 players signed up to play for the trophy. Mike O’Connor and Pete Swailes, defending champions, returned to again play for the coveted trophy. They made it without any losses to play against Paul Edwards and Bob Muir who made it through with only one loss. Debbie Coward, a former champion, and her partner, George Granell, a first –time player of horseshoes took third place. The championship game started and Paul and Bob handed Mike and Pete their first loss but, because of a prior commitment, Pete had to leave. The one game to be played was rescheduled for the following weekend to be played on the Sunday. After a warmup game for both finalist teams the final game began. Once again the defending champions, Mike and Pete, retained their trophy by defending Paul and Bob. A special thanks to Paul and Debbie for working so hard in preparing the pits for the initial tournament day of the 25th of July. A huge thank-you to all of this year’s participants that came out to play in this year’s 2015 BOB DAVIES MEMORIAL HORSESHOE TOURNAMENT. Your tournament coordinators, Bill Roberts and Dave Piper
