Manager, Compensation The Manager of Compensation is responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of Ecova’s compensation plans. Role Description Leads a team of compensation professionals, providing leadership, direction and development for the team. Provides directional compensation philosophy leadership for the team and provides decision-making with regard to the compensation alternatives and/or recommendations. Reviews current salary practices while working collaboratively to design compensation structures, creating job families, conducting job leveling and revising while aligning current plans. Designs appropriate metrics and monitors effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines and procedures. Models compensation cost implications, identifies trends, and makes recommendations for senior management. Supports the design, development and management of sales incentive plans, policies and processes to support the business strategy. In collaboration with finance, analyzes and prepares reports on effectiveness of sales incentive programs and makes appropriate recommendations. Role Competencies BA or BS required (Business, Finance, or Accounting-related major preferred) CCP preferred Masters Degree preferred Knowledge of HR processes and workflows required Familiarity with various HR Information and/or business systems preferred 4-7 years experience in human resources with minimum of 2 years specializing in compensation or other analytical fields required Experience in compensation plan implementation and administration, regulatory compliance and reporting required Experience in incentive compensation strategy and design required Comprehensive knowledge of compensation principles and practices, and state and federal government regulations required Proven ability to provide professional development for teams in alignment with strategic goals. Proven ability to compete in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with versatility and professional acumen. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills “Change Agent" experience leading teams through process improvement, workflow optimization and positive cultural change. Creative leadership and strong management skills and the ability to work in a highlymatrixed environment while motivating and influencing individuals to exceed expectations while fostering a strong collaborative work environment focused on excellence. Ability to “think outside of the box” to provide solutions that unify best practices, compliance requirements and business needs. Is comfortable challenging the status quo and willing to "roll up their sleeves and get things done" as well as possess a “can do" attitude. Must demonstrate highly effective interpersonal communication skills and a desire to coach and develop others to ensure “best in class” delivery of HR services. Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting and/or exceeding project deadlines managing expectations along the way. Must be detail-oriented, analytical, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment, and able to perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
