Complete a group activity in Blackboard ©2012 Gateway Community College 2 Reading Read in your textbook, Chapter 6, Section 6.5 Chapter 6, section 5 will introduce you to methods used to find the asymptotes of rational functions and graph them. This chapter meets learning objectives 6.1-6.2 Interactive Lecture “Lesson 1 – Properties of Rational Functions” This lecture will introduce you to the properties of Rational functions and their graphs. The interactive lecture meets learning objectives 6.1-6.2 You will receive 10 participation points for viewing the interactive lecture. Lesson 2: Solving Rational Equations In this lesson, you will: 1. View an Interactive Lecture 2. Complete an assignment in My Math Lab 3. Complete a quiz in My Math Lab Interactive Lecture “Lesson 2 – Solving Rational Equations” This lecture will introduce you to the various methods used to solve rational equations. You will learn how to solve rational equations algebraically and graphically. The interactive lecture meets learning objectives 6.3-6.4 You will receive 10 participation points for viewing the interactive lecture. Assignment This section is for any type of assignment that is not within the learning sequence such as: Papers, Projects, or Group Assignments. This section is for ongoing project assignments and updates. The penalty will not affect any questions completed before the due date. It is not possible to lower your score by completing all the questions even if they are late. Quiz Work with your developer to create the test/quiz or upload a test bank. You will also need to set the other parameters of the test such as randomized questions and question blocks. The quiz will be graded and your results will appear in the My Math Lab gradebook. 20% will be deducted from the entire score of any late quizzes.
