PETTITION/SUPPORT DRIVE
Would you kindly consider helping us save Royal Lake’s community resources? We are seriously in debt
for back taxes due on real estate owned by our Not-For Profit Corporation. No, this did not just happen
and there is blame enough to go around.
You know what, with a little support; together we can change the picture. We can right the wrong and
set the course for prosperity. We have a plan but we need your help. You probably know someone that
lives in Royal Lake, or have heard about it.
Some people attend Clinton County Schools, and Churches. Others attend bingo, shop, work, and
participate in services offered by our Clinton County Community. So taking the bitter with the sweet it’s
a beautiful place to live.
We have kids that need after school programs, seniors that need services, young adults that need
mentoring, and the gambit of what keeps and makes a community thrive. The land, club house,
basketball court, lake, pavilion and playground are available, but could be lost to taxes.

Purpose:
To pay Clinton County Back Taxes Owed, establish a partnership to aide in
stabilizing the community, return Federal Non-Profit status, and gain County Tax Exemption.
Program
Royal Lake Booster Club wants to make Clinton County Residents, further aware of a loss to be
suffered by the Royal Lake Community in Clinton County, as mentioned in a recent publication
of the Union Banner. The loss will be land, buildings, and fixtures currently owned by Royal Lake
Improvement Committee. (See attached)
The land and Improvements thereon were built, and donated by hard working neighbors of
Royal Lake several years ago. (See attached) A loss of these assets would have a terrible affect
upon the past, present, and future neighbors of Royal Lake Community in Clinton County.
We believe it is our Christian duty to lift up our brothers and sisters. Precious gifts are not to be
forgotten, or forsaken. God instructs us to reach out and help one another, the essence of our
faith.
Therefore, we are asking you to join us in constructing a program to address the need as
expressed.

Plan
A series of fund raisers is proposed to provide funds necessary to pay back taxes due and stop
the transfer of current ownership. (See attached) An agreement among participants is to be
designed to provide a mentoring program to help stabilize Royal lake Improvement Committee,
restore Federal Not-For-Profit tax status, gain County Tax Exemption, and maintain working
community programming.
Initially, Royal Lake Booster Club will hold a kick off Songs and Praise to God program. The
program will feature signing, reading, and praise session under a tent, to be held at various
locations in Clinton County. Invite Christian performers to participate accepting donations.
Make a joyful noise, unto the Lord, seeking help needed.
In addition we are requesting Ministerial Alliance to hold/participate in various fund raisers,
request collections at services and, also to join as mentors to program efforts necessary to
stabilize the community. Help us set up: ‘Light of Christ Library’ a library at the community
building with religious and secular books to assist in child, adult, and community development.
In addition help sponsor a ‘Latch Key Program’ for after school study and safe house, to include
a grand parenting opportunity to help raise our children.
