Second Year A Level, BTEC & Foundation Degree prices are fixed where a 2 year booking is made.
Some subjects may only be available at one campus-please check with us at the time of making your
application.
Depending on your specific subject choices, materials and other costs may be added to the above
fees and are payable on enrolment. Examination Fees for A Levels will be £110 per exam and for
BTECS £132 for a Level 2 exam and £181 for a Level 3 exam.
There is an additional charge of £180 per year for students wishing to take A Level Chinese.
If you are aged 19 years old or above on 31st August prior to starting your course and you qualify for
home fees status, an additional fee of £1,100 will be charged if the course is eligible for UK
government funding. For courses with no UK government funding, the fees can be higher and are set
on an individual course basis. You will be advised on any additional fees at the time of application.
Academic and vocational students may choose to take the Enhanced Support Package, which
includes English language support and study skills. This may be required for some students and is
compulsory for all Form 4 graduates from Hong Kong.
You will need to add up to £30 for an IELTS course book.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
The following airport transfer prices are a guide to what the costs are likely to be if the college arranges a taxi
transfer on your behalf. The cost of a taxi transfer must be paid in cash to the taxi driver and may have
additional parking fees added. Please email us your full flight details if you require a taxi from the airport at
least three working days in advance of you travelling. For over 18 year olds, train and coach options are
available and may cost less.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES, FEES & INFORMATION

Deposits - When making your application, please pay a deposit of £1,000 (or your full fees if less than
this) in order to secure your course place. If you wish to book accommodation, please add the £60
Accommodation Arrangement Fee to your deposit payment. Please note that you will be required to pay
your fees in full at the start of your course. Deposit payments are deducted from the final amount
payable. However, if you are from Hong Kong and in receipt of the Overseas Education Allowance (OEA),
termly payments can be arranged at a cost of £15 per term.

Living Costs - We recommend that you allow £7,527 per academic year to cover the cost of living in the
UK.

University applications : advice and guidance for UK university applications is included in your tuition
fees. For non-UK university applications, there is a charge of £45 per application for advice, guidance
and academic reference.

Excursions – Sussex Downs College provides excursions with our travel partner UK Study Tours: prices
range from £20 depending on the destination.
