King Arthur Group Project
For this project, you get to research a variety of information related to King Arthur and the King Arthur stories.
Your project will combine research, writing, speaking, and a reflection of the processes involved in
creating it. I want you to choose themes and ideas that are reflected in the King Arthur legend that interest
you.
You will be working in groups of 2-4 people. (You may choose to work by yourself. If you would like to work by
yourself, please come see me!) Your group project will include a series of mini-assignments dealing with
theme, characters, plot, background information, and symbolism. The purpose of this multi-genre project is to
show a range and depth of knowledge in relation to King Arthur and the King Arthur stories in a highly original,
entertaining, and pleasing format. You will have time, both in and outside of class, to complete your project
before presenting it to your classmates. In addition, you must also write a reflective letter, which describes
what you did and how you went about doing it (what your original plan was, where you got your idea, what you
chose to do).
You will have five to ten minutes to give an oral presentation with your group. You might choose to read one of
your mini-assignments, show a video, or present your project in PowerPoint. The format for the project and the
presentation is up to you and your group.
Now, it's time for you to get started!
