Seton VBS 2015 – “Everest” Snacks

Day 1 - Trail Mix

Dried chunk pineapple (~3 pieces/child)

Raisins or Craisins (~6 pieces/child)

Sunflower seeds (2 Tbsp/child)

Shredded coconut (2 Tbsp/child)

Banana chips (~3 pieces/child)

Mini chocolate chips (2 Tbsp/child) - optional

Plastic spoons or 3 oz plastic cups (5 per prep table)

Plastic spoons (1 per child)

9 oz clear plastic cups (1 per child)

Large bowls (6 per prep table)

Copies of “Today’s Mountaintop Treat: Trail Mix” (1 per crew – page 12 in book)

Day 2 – Rock Rambler’s Parfait

Strawberry yogurt (1/2 cup/child)

Granola (1/2 cup/child – can find gluten free in stores)

Bowls for yogurt & granola (2/ prep table, optional)

Half-cup measuring cup

9 oz clear plastic cups marked at ½ cup (5/prep table)

9 oz clear plastic cups for the parfait (1/child)

Black sharpie

Spoons (5/prep table; 1/child at snack time)

Brown paper lunch bags (1 per crew)

Child-safe scissors (1/prep table)

Copies of “Today’s Mountaintop Treat: Rock Rambler’s Parfait” (1 per crew – pg 19)

Day 3 – A Heart-y Snack

Fresh strawberries (2 whole berries/child)

Plain rice cakes (1/child)

Whipped cream cheese (8 oz tub/crew)

Honey or maple syrup (3-4 oz/crew)

Electric mixer & large mixing bowl

Kitchen knife & cutting board

Large paper plates (5/prep table & 1/crew)

Small paper plates (1/child for snack time)

Plastic knives (5/prep table & 1/child at snack time)

Medium-size bowls to hold ice (1/crew)

Large bags of cubed ice (1 for every 10 crews)
