Spring 2014 at the RNCM Liz Rowley PR and Media Relations Officer Royal Northern College of Music 124 Oxford Road Manchester M13 9RD January 2014 is a significant month for the RNCM. For the first time in its 40 year history the Concert Hall – much-loved by audiences across the North West – closes its doors for a major £3 million refurbishment. The project, which includes everything from a new balcony and seating, to flooring, lighting and technical equipment, will take approximately nine months to complete and will furnish Manchester with a fantastic state-of-the-art venue fit for the 21st century. But in spite of this prominent development, Spring at the RNCM continues as normal, with an array of concerts and events taking place at other venues within the College and in the city centre.
