Recall 4 different places in town and describe them fluently after listening to a song 4.1 , 6.11 Teacher's Role Student's Role T plays a song from the Ss book to brainstorm places and adjectives of feelings then asks them randomly Where were they yesterday and how was it? {Brainstorming} Decoding game T gives each group a worksheet and asks them to write the first letter of 6 objects to find the title. T will ask Ss to divide the word into syllables. T will elicit sentences from Ss and ask them to count how many words in the sentence. {Phonological awareness.} Ss listen to a song from the book and give examples to different places they can go to in town (previous knowledge) , ( Brainstorming) Students will work in groups write initial letters of six objects to find the title “Villaggio”. Ss will divide the word into syllables. They will also count words in sentences. Lesson Plan Learning Objectives At the end of this lesson Ss will be able to: Pre-reading stage Identify the meaning of 6 new words related to places in the town correctly . (1.1-1.2) Predict the main ideas after watching a video and from the title of the reading text. (4.1) Main Activities Teacher's Role Student's Role Pre-teaching Voc T sticks the flashcards of the new words on the board. T introduces the new words / PPT (using the Author kit via L.M.S. programme) and realia. Pre-teaching Voc Ss will look at the flashcards and try to guess their meaning. Ss will discuss the vocabulary with the teacher on PPT then Ss will repeat in groups.(Drilling) Formative assessment: T. asks Ss to match the words to the correct pictures to assess students' understanding using Author Kit graphic gap match. Whole class feedback (Prediction) T invites the ss to watch a video using Go Animate Website and have students guess the main idea /topic of the video T displays on the data show the S.B. p 114. T asks Ss (what do you think the text is about and the name of the boy.) Ss will take turns and come to the board then drag the words under the correct pictures to complete a poster about Villaggio. (Prediction) Ss will watch a video about Villaggio then answer the question "what the video is talking about?". Ss will open the S.B to page 114. Ss look at the pictures, read the title and guess what the text is about. Time 11 m. 6 m. 2 m Lesson Plan T reads the title and asks Ss if they have ever been to villaggio and what they saw there. - Read and identify the general ideas in the reading text accurately. Reading for gist Ss discuss their previous knowledge and experience about villaggio. Ss listen to the CD, point to each paragraph and follow along in their books. Tr. T asks the first two groups to write 4 places in Villaggio to complete a graphic organizer. While reading Ss will be given the task according to their multiple intelligence. While the other two groups will have a running dictation. They will run to read the text again then fill in the missing parts.{kinesthetic students} During whole class feedback students give answers.
