Resource Development Associate is a 24 hours per week position. POSITION OVERVIEW The Resource Development Associate (RDA) is responsible for the implementation, administration and evaluation of individual giving fundraising activities including individual donation campaigns, events and other initiatives as required. RESPONSIBILITIES Donor Care & Solicitation - Implement a fundraising strategy in consultation with Executive Director (ED) and Board Fundraising Committee; - Maintain a portfolio of donors and develop appropriate annual renewal/upgrade plans that match donor interests; - Coordinate public recognition and stewardship activities for donors; - Coordinate all aspects of direct mail, email and phone solicitation campaigns; - Prepare customized solicitation packages as required; - Conduct prospect research; - - Prepare quarterly Individual Giving fundraising reports, including analysis and recommendations, for review by the ED and Board Fundraising Committee; Assist ED and Board Fundraising Committee with events and other fundraising initiatives as required. Administration - Pull donation reports and process all donations; - Issue and mail out all thank you letters and tax receipts according to CRA guidelines; - Maintain up-to-date fundraising filing system; - Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in database; - Conduct donation reconciliation and Revenue Generation expenses reconciliation on a monthly basis; - Coordinate volunteers when necessary. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS - Successful completion of post-secondary fundraising certificate, diploma, degree, or equivalent work experience; Demonstrated interest in supporting cultural skill-building for youth living homeless and on the margins; Knowledgeable about the non-profit sector and fundraising best practices; Exceptional problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot; Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail; Strong writing, editing and research skills; Exceptional oral and written communication skills; Ability to prioritize workload to complete deadlines in fast paced environment; Proven capacity to work in a self-directed manner and collaborate with others to achieve results; Ability to work in an open office environment; Experience in Sumac donor database a strong asset; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Please email letter of interest and resume by 5:00pm on July 10, 2015 to: Hayley Hoskins Special Projects & Executive Assistant Email: hayley@sketch.ca SKETCH is committed to the principles of equity and ensuring that our hiring practices are enriched by the people, needs and desires of Toronto’s diverse communities.
