PURPOSE OF JOB
To maximize Sponsorship, Business Solutions and Interactive Revenue for the UTV Media
national radio division by: driving Sponsorship and Business Solutions Revenue from existing or
new accounts working with the sales team and independently; Project managing activity both on
and off air, online inventory and client liaison during and following the execution of the activity;
and through being responsible for the implementation, day to day co-ordination and general
upkeep of the Business Solutions Team in accordance with your line manager
MAIN DUTIES

Deliver value and results to earn customer loyalty by matching customer needs and
selling effective and creative campaigns

Exceed client expectations and provide the best possible service to include post
promotion, production of ROT’s and Post campaign analysis.

Support the sales team with new and existing customers to develop long-term
relationships including a minimum of 8 dual calls per week.

Accurate reporting of revenue and forecasts, including the updating of the Sponsorship
and Business Solutions’ figures board and CRM daily.

Work across the Sales, Programming and Marketing departments to deliver creative
solutions that benefit both client and the UTV Media national radio division, ensuring that
you are available for the Sponsorship and Business Solutions brainstorming and
programming meetings.

Understand all Sponsorship and Business Solutions systems and effectively
communicate all Sponsorship and Business Solutions opportunities to the Sales team,
including regular updates in sales meetings, and liaising with the team on pitches,
proposals and appointments.

Achieve revenue targets on a monthly basis, generating revenue from the sales team’s
clients

Demonstrate great creative thinking and generate ideas that clients want to buy and that
are right for both the UTV Media national radio division and the client.

Manage the communication and delivery of all Sponsorship and Business Solutions
activity at the UTV Media national radio division and on the street including Event
management.

To be available should you be required to project manage events outside of normal office
hours of 9:00am-5:30pm.

Ensure that the UTV Media national radio division’s Brand values are always adhered to
when out on events or promotions and not to compromise the UTV Media national radio
division brand in any way.

Manage time efficiently and prioritise focus on highest revenue opportunities

Adhere to sales principles, practices and processes

Consistently source, identify and secure new business, passing on leads to the sales
team and generating appointments where applicable

Identify new Sponsorship and Business Solutions opportunities

Develop long term relationships that benefit the business

Measure progress and achievements against set objectives

Develop knowledge of data, trends and relevant information to assist with the sales
process

Deliver high quality presentation materials and in accordance with the Sponsorship and
Business Solutions rate card and brand guidelines

Build and maintain strong internal relationships, appear approachable and be ready to
assist at all times to both the sales team, programming team and other members of staff.

Keep up to date with any changes in the radio industry plus any regulations affecting
Sponsorship and Business Solutions

Attend training courses where appropriate

Undertake any other responsibility deemed appropriate.
