Statement of Faith








We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Sprit
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, and
His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood. We believe in the bodily resurrection,
His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Sprit is
absolutely essential and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and
Lord and not as a result of good works.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Sprit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled
to live a godly life and perform good works.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the
resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity for believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the Sanctity of Marriage in both personal work and deed, which includes a
monogamous relationship between a man and woman within the bounds of marriage.

1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center is an interdenominational, Christ-centered, outreach ministry to
women in crisis pregnancies. As an extension of the local church community and pro-life in nature, FCPRC
is dedicated to providing women the opportunity to examine their lives, think through their options, and
gain vital information regarding alternatives to abortion, thus enabling them to make healthy and
responsible decisions concerning themselves and their preborn children. 1st Choice promotes
commitment to sexual integrity as the lifestyle choice that offers protection in childhood, direction in
adolescence & celebration in adulthood.
I am in agreement with the truths contained in the Statement of Faith and I commit to a lifestyle of
sexual integrity and life-affirming values.

Volunteer Pledge
Recognizing that the Pregnancy Resource Center is a Christian ministry, I openly acknowledge
my personal faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I have read the Statement of Faith and am in
complete agreement with all statements in it.
I believe in the sanctity in human life as taught in the Bible and, therefore, reject abortion as an
acceptable option for any woman facing a crisis pregnancy, except to save the life of the mother in some
cases (e.g. tubal pregnancy).
I believe in chastity outside of marriage and in the sanctity of marriage between a men and a
woman as taught in the Bible. Therefore, I commit to a lifestyle of sexual purity.
I agree to be faithful in church attendance and participation, as a member of the body of Christ.
I accept the responsibility to act as an advocate on behalf of the women under my care; to give
accurate information, emotional support, and spiritual guidance. I will keep all information on the
center’s clients and financial donors in the strictest confidence, in accordance with center policies. I will
consistently uphold the center’s policies relating to confidentiality, even after I am no longer a
volunteer.
Understanding the vital role volunteers play in the work of the center, I commit myself to serve
faithfully. Additionally, I agree to attend volunteer staff meetings and in-service training sessions. I have
agreed to enter into my role as a volunteer without any expectation of receiving any compensation for
the services I may perform.
I have read, understand and agree with the center Statement of Principles and will at all times
uphold it, as well as all policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors and Executive

 Men’s Client Advocate – Share vital information about being a father, spiritual needs and provide
encouragement to young men in unplanned pregnancy situations.
 Licensed Medical Professionals – Perform and read pregnancy tests and/or perform ultrasounds
(must have certifications, prior experience or training to perform ultrasounds).
 Mommy Store Workers – Help run, stock and organize the Mommy Store.
 Office Workers – Run errands, make copies and do general office work for the center.
 Spiritual Counselors – Share biblical truth, encourage and pray with clients.
 Teachers – Equip clients with skills and information through classes on pregnancy, childbirth,
parenting and healthy relationships in our Mommy and Daddy Program. (Training provided.)
 Ultrasound Witness – Experience the miracle of life, stand as witness while our Medical
Professionals perform ultrasounds for clients.

 Abstinence Team Member - Be a part of a team that speaks to schools, churches and other youth
groups about abstinence in both Christian and health aspects.
