Integrated Accessibility Plan and Policy for McCay Duff LLP This 2015-21 accessibility plan outlines the policies and actions that McCay Duff LLP will put in place to improve opportunities for people with disabilities. We will also provide employees with disabilities with individualized emergency response information when necessary. Information and communications McCay Duff LLP is committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. When asked, we will provide information and communications materials in accessible formats or with communication supports. This includes publicly available information about our goods, services and facilities, as well as publicly available emergency information. McCay Duff LLP will take the following steps to make ensure existing feedback processes are accessible to people with disabilities upon request by January 1, 2015. McCay Duff will not create any new websites prior to January 1st 2021 If a significant refresh of our current website is completed prior to 2021, we will work with our website developer to ensure the refreshed web content complies with WCAG 2.0, Level A McCay Duff LLP will take the following steps to make all websites and content conform with WCAG 2.0, Level AA by January 1, 2021. McCay Duff LLP will provide training needed to meet Ontario’s accessible laws by January 1, 2015 and it will include: Access Forward Ontario: General Requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation o All employees will sign a certificate saying they have watched and understood the above materials Access Forward Ontario: Requirements of the Information and Communications Standard o All administrative and IT employees will sign a certificate saying they have watched and understood the above materials Access Forward Ontario: Requirements of the Employment Standard o All Human Resources employees will sign a certificate saying they have watched and understood the above materials Reading our McCay Duff accessibility policy and plan o All employees will read the accessibility policy and plan for McCay Duff LLP Above and beyond the training mentioned above, McCay Duff will also provide specialized training to those working on the reception desk and it will include: How to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities How to interact with people with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or a support person Kiosks McCay Duff LLP will not be designing, procuring or acquiring self-service kiosks in the course of business. Design of Public Spaces McCay Duff LLP does not design public spaces in the course of business. Public spaces include: Recreational trails/beach access routes Outdoor public eating areas like rest stops or picnic areas Outdoor play spaces, like playgrounds in provincial parks and local communities Accessible Customer Service Plan McCay Duff LLP is committed to excellence in serving all customers including people with disabilities. Assistive devices We will ensure that our staff are familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by customers with disabilities while accessing our goods or services. Communication We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability. Service animals We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on the parts of our premises that are open to the public. Notice of temporary disruption In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for customers with disabilities, McCay Duff LLP will notify customers promptly. This clearly posted notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available. The notice will be placed in front of our elevators.
