Final Paper - Issues in Modern Technology in the Language Class (M.Ed.)
For the final paper, you will choose one issue that we dealt with during the semester and
take the opportunity to deepen your knowledge on your selected issue. Basically, the
paper will be a reflective in nature, allowing you to express your professional and
personal opinions about the issue. To help you reflect, at the graduate school level, you
will be required to cite at least three sources (of which, at least two come from academic
journals – available at the Sha’anan library in-site or online).
Please note that all in-text citations must use A.P.A. formatting and must point to a
corresponding entry in a A.P.A. style reference list.
The final paper should be 4 to 6 pages long (not including a title page or potential
reference list), double spaced, with 12-point Times New Roman fonts. The paper will be
submitted digitally as a WORD document.
Please start with an introduction that explains why you chose the issue. Why did you
find it interesting enough to explore further?
The body of the paper (which will have an appropriate heading, given your topic) will
explore the nature, the structure, and the implications of issue. Your writing should be
detailed, in depth, and well organized. You will present your findings from your sources
in the relevant places and properly attribute them with APA citations or APA quotations
formats, as needed.
The paper should end with a Conclusions section. Based on the information presented in
the body of the paper, you should comment on the implications the issue has for you and
your school community (personally, professionally, and possibly as a citizen)
Please note: There are no “right” or “wrong” answers. What is important is the manner
you analyze and present your personal response to the issue.
The quality of the English used in the paper will be assessed as 10% of the grade. It is
highly recommended to have another student proof-read your work before submitting it.
Getting help editing your initial English draft is permissible, but you must note that fact
immediately after your name on the title page in the following way:
