Engine

































Lycoming 0-320 A2BCB2B 160 hp @ 2700 RPM, All AOs/SBs complied
434 hrs SPOH in April 2004 – All NEW camshaft, bearings, rings, con-rods, pushrods etc. One
new piston (complete prop-strike inspection as per Lycoming manuals-AB Aero Engine work)
Heavy duty connecting rods, same as in helicopter Lycoming 0-320 engine (high RPM safety)
1453 SMOH (1999)
STC’d for 91 octane auto fuel
Skytec lightweight starter.
50 Amp alternator kit (interav) with separate switch and circuit breaker
Flexible oil cooler lines (won’t crack like stock, rigid steel ones – prevents oil lost in flight)
Slick magnetos (new style), 306 hrs SOH.
Reiti engine oil pan winter pre-heat kit winter cover for oil cooler.
Strong light engine produces at least 160 hp but gives 3.5 US gal/hr fuel burn at low RPM.

698 hrs Since Complete, down to frame Fuselage Rebuild in May 2003.
White with red fuselage trim (Airtech finished process – flexible, high-gloss urethane paint) flat
black cowl top, red spinner, gloss black aluminum belly panels, clear Plexiglas tail inspection
plates/covers for easy pre-flight inspections.
New HD boot cowl with machine screw fasteners & nuts (NO sheet metal screws to loosen up!)
Removable bell boot cowl section for maintenance access, painted gloss black.
Fuselage sandblasted, repaired, repainted-complete restoration 2003 all new cables and hardware
Allerons, flaps and tail surfaces new fabric 2003.
Flaps extended 4” inward to fuselage for more surface area.
Wings re-covered 1998 with Stits process (no dope), by Cubcrafters (aircraft always hangered).
2000 lb gross weight kit by Wipaire = 250 lbs more useable load than stock Super Cubs
Life-time HD wing struts & forks (no wing strut/fork Ad’s to worry about).
Large square lift handles at fuselage rear.
BLR Vortex Generator and tail strake kit = impossible slow flight ability ailerons work in stall.
New aluminum landing gear bungee covers.
Cleveland HD 6 bolt wheels and Scott 32—tailwheeel.
Scott HD booster brake system, park brake system s/HD double-puck brakes.
Landing gear safety cables (Atlee Dodge).
Piper Pawnee spray-plane HD tailspring kit (4-leaf).

bracing under extended skylight (approved structural AMO/Cub specialists performed rebuild).
All wooden fuselage stringer replaced with Aluminum.
Aluminum belly panels front to rear (original Ag-model Cub) – easy maintenance access to
fuselage.
HD starter cables from battery to starter.
Atlee Dodge landing gear full-length entrance step.
Clear glass bottom clamshell door and clear Plexiglas tail inspection covers.
Exterior baggage compartment door added as per original equipment on Ag-model PA-18.
Removable rear seat & rear seat cross bar for baggage compartment easy access/cargo hauling.
New marine-grade plywood floorboards, painted black.

Fuselage year 1957, Wing, tail feathers, and engine year 1971.
Aircraft ready to work the mountains. Few, if any mods left to add to this aircraft-they’re all
done.
314 lb useful load, 604 lbs available after full fuel added = very difficult to overload this aircraft.
