“Programmers in Training” Membership Application This packet is designed to inform you of what the Association for Campus Entertainment does, but more importantly the general expectations as a Programmer in Training Crew member. The Association for Campus Entertainment is one of the most active organizations on campus, and is staffed by students who coordinate entertainment and activities for students. ACE offers UNCW students a one of a kind learning opportunity. Programmers in Training, or “PIT Crew”, will be an extension of that opportunity available to all interested students. You will get a chance to have hands-on experiences event planning and gain exceptional leadership and delegation skills that can transfer into future careers. Learn the ropes with us while making a big difference in the UNCW community and your fellow students’ experience. ACE is a student organization that serves the UNCW community as their primary programming entity, meaning that we are committed to providing educational, entertaining, and diverse programs and events for the enjoyment and enrichment of UNCW students, faculty, and staff. Programmers in Training (PIT Crew) is a five-week new member training program where you will have the opportunity to experience each of the five ACE committee’s diverse programs. Attached you will find a description of each committee. PIT crew offers you the opportunity to learn all facets of programming and event planning and after completing the five-week program you will be ready to utilize your knowledge and skills to bring memorable ACE events to campus for all of UNCW to enjoy. What types of people is ACE looking for? We are looking for dedicated and self-motivated team members. ACE’s motto when interviewing applicants is that anyone is trainable. We do not seek applicants who have all the skills and all the answers, but those who can positively contribute as a team player and hard worker.
