Texas Regions and Native Essay
1. Students are assigned a region or sub region with assigned Native American Tribe.
2. Students will create an informative essay based on this Native American Tribe.
3. Students will explain how the tribe interacted with the land. Explain the adaption necessary for
survival, explain daily activities, and explain cultural rituals.
4. Students will explain natural landmarks within that region or sub region (examples: rivers,
plateaus, escarpments, plains, mountains, and basins).
5. Students will use the following vocabulary words in story: geography, culture, heritage,
adaptions, and diversity.
Reminders:
Develop a “killer” thesis statement. (History and English)
Revise introduction (strong hook/lead sentence) (History and English)
Revise conclusion (that satisfies) (English)
Revise sentences fluency (English)
