All meetings take place on Friday mornings in the school’s community room from 8.45 am.
Parent Council was set up in the academic year 2009-2010.
At Poplars Farm we value parent’s contributions which are principally why we established the parent council. Parents are a valuable part of the school community and play a key part in the progression of the school.
The meetings are an opportunity for parents / guardians to talk with each other and members of the schools leadership team; ask questions about school and things that are going on in the school, find out about how decisions are made and learn about the work that is being put into your child’s education / school experience. Parent Council act as a line of communication between parents and school, brining questions / suggestions / concerns to the meetings, communicating back to parents the information shared at the meetings.

Find out how the school runs and what informs the decisions that are made in school regarding your child’s learning.

Play an active role in the school that your child is attending, add valuable insight into the decisions that are made from a parents perspective.

Have the opportunity to ask questions and put positive ideas forward – all valuable to your child’s time at the school and the schools on-going development / progressive movement forward.

Any parent / guardian of a child at Poplars Farm Primary can be involved in the meetings.
Miss Robins (Inclusion Manager) leads the meetings with another member of the leadership team attending most meetings as well.

One meeting a month held on Fridays in the community room from 8.45 am until approximately 10.00 am (please see reverse of this flyer for meeting dates for the academic year).

Support Friends of Poplars Farm (PTA) and Parent Council events for example World Breakfast Clubs, coffee mornings, fundraising events.

