Course Syllabi—Collection and Upload As each semester (fall, spring, IL, and summer sessions) begins, ask faculty to submit electronic copies of their syllabi to you. 1. Syllabi need to be in Word format (no pdfs, sorry). Each syllabus should have the Academic Integrity statement highlighted in some fashion (e.g., yellow highlighter or red font), and each syllabus should have the final exam or its approved substitute highlighted in some fashion (ditto). 2. Ask faculty to name their files using this convention: “2013Sp BIOL xxx-a InstructorName”. If necessary, rename files when you receive them. 3. If an individual is teaching multiple sections and uses the same syllabus, only one version is needed. Save the syllabi on the S: drive (syllabi$(\\svnt02) under the appropriate folder; if necessary, create a folder for your department. During the Fall and Spring semesters, you also need to upload the syllabi to the Credential Editor. Note: the Credential Editor is not generally available until after the first day of class for that semester. 1. Log in at http://webapps.roanoke.edu/credentials/login.cfm 2. Follow the links to upload the syllabi for the courses in your department(s). 3. Special cases: Multiple labs that share a syllabus: upload the same document for each lab section. Single syllabus for both the lecture and lab: upload the same document for each section. Someone teaching two sections of the same course: upload the same document for each. Cross-listed courses: upload the same syllabus for each section. 4. If you find any Independent studies, senior theses, and internships, please ignore them. I’ll weed those out soon. 5. Problems? Accidentally upload the wrong syllabus? E-mail the correct syllabus to me and I’ll take care of it. Can’t locate a class in the editor? Send me an e-mail, and I’ll (try to) find it! Due Dates: Syllabi due to you Uploaded to Cred.
