From Camps to Campus Application Form and Instructions INSTRUCTIONS: The Institute of International Education (IIE) intends to provide a small number of scholarships to Syrian refugee youth, both women and men, for undergraduate university studies at public universities in Jordan. The successful applicants will be awarded scholarships to help enable students to complete their undergraduate degrees, with duration and amount varying based upon the needs of the students. Housing will not be included in any of the scholarships. Interested young men and women should fill in all parts of the application below. The DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS is Saturday, July 4, 2015. Those people shortlisted for the scholarships may be asked to participate in an interview. IIE will select students using the following criteria. Necessary qualifications: currently live in the Za’atari refugee camp or elsewhere in Jordan. registered as a refugee with UNHCR. have completed at least three semesters of full time undergraduate education in good standing, in Syria, Jordan, or another country. Preferred qualifications: plans to major in fields of study that could be particularly useful to the Syrian refugee community after graduation, such as education (including teaching), social work, sciences (including but not limited to nursing and psychology), and languages (English, Arabic, and other languages). have a proven track record of community service and committed to community service upon completion of a university degree If you have questions, please email MENAInfo@iie.org.
