Rules and Conditions

This event will be held in accordance with the Rules of the EA
Official Tests: Horses, Ponies, Riders and Owners must be registered with the EA. Riders can compete from the beginning of the year they turn 12
years or 10 years if riding a Pony

RESTRICTIONS: Horses may only compete at 2 consecutive levels e.g. Novice/ Elementary. Each horse is restricted to a maximum of 3 tests
while each rider is restricted to a maximum of 6 tests. A maximum of 2 horses per rider, per event will be allowed, with maximum numbers

restricted to 35 in each event
Approved hard hats must be worn when riding

Disclaimer must be signed. You will not be permitted to ride if this form is not signed.

ALL HORSES & RIDERS MUST BE GEARED CHECKED PRIOR TO EACH TEST. Failure to do so may incur elimination
Horses must not be warmed up within 20 metres of any arena

Horses must be safely tied to floats/trucks
9. Horses known to have a tendency to kick must be supervised at all times
10. Floats/Trucks must be parked in the designated areas with a minimum of 9 metres between them
11. Dogs must be on a leash at all times
12. Appeals must be in writing and submitted within half an hour of the Competition concluding. Appeals cost $50, which is refundable if the appeal is
upheld
13. When walking between arenas please keep as far away as possible from any arenas in use
14. Neither the Organising Committee of any competition to which these rules apply nor the EFA accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury
or illness to horses, owners, riders, grounds, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
15. Entry is via Gate 8 off Bungonia Rd. All entrants/visitors must close the gate after entry/leaving
16. Stallions must display Identification Discs at all times. Discs are available from National office of Equestrian Australia
17. Only horses that are entered for competition are permitted on the grounds during the event
18. Callers are allowed (except for FEI tests)
19. No refunds will be given for cancellations after the draw has been finalized unless we receive a doctors or vet certificate
20. ** Any Photographs collected by the official GDC photographer may be used for publicity purposes unless permission is declined prior.**

In consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in horse sport activities, I the undersigned understand acknowledge and accept that Horse Sports are a
dangerous recreational activity and horses can react in a sudden and unpredictable (changeable) way, especially if frightened or hurt. There is a significant risk that
serious INJURY or DEATH may result from horse sport activities. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown sole& I voluntarily
PARTICIPATE at my OWN RISK and assume sole responsibility for any injury death or property damage I may suffer that arises from my participation in horse sport
activities. I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind altering drugs before and during the activity and I take
full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with their consumption. I agree not to drink alcohol or take drugs prohibited by law before or during this
event. I agree to follow the directions of any event organizer or official and that any misconduct or refusal by me to follow any direction of any organizer or official
can result in the CANCELLATION of my participation in the event and my immediate removal from my horse NO MATTER where that may occur. I understand that
any such non-compliance may result in injury, death or permanent disability as a result of my failure to comply. I agree to wear a helmet at all times whilst participating
in the sport where this is required under the relevant EFA and FEI regulations and agree that I am solely responsible for ensuring that whilst participating I wear a
suitable helmet at all times where required under the relevant EFA and FEI rules and regulations and take sole responsibility for my actions. I have had sufficient
opportunity to read this assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms and sign it freely and voluntarily. By signing this disclaimer I hereby agree to accept
full responsibility for the care and any costs incurred in looking after my horse should a Lockdown happen. Under NO circumstances will I hold Goulburn Dressage
Club Inc. or any of its members, Committee members and office bearers liable.
For participants of Minority Age (under 18 years): This is to certify that I, as a parent /guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, acknowledge,
understand and accept ALL OF THE ABOVE and consent and agree to my minor child’s involvement or participation in horse sport activities.
