VESSEL WINTERIZATION FORM 2013-2014
Time is drawing near to prepare your vessel for proper winter storage to avoid costly freeze damage.
Any members waiting until the 1st sign of freeze to request winterization will be on a 1st come - 1st served basis.
Please avoid the last-minute rush to ensure your boat is winterized before such a freezing event.
BASIC WINTERIZATION CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:
 Add fuel stabilizer - Crank and run - Check all belts and hoses - Fog Cylinders(when applicable)
 Drain engine block and manifolds - Add antifreeze solution
 Check battery water - Top off all fluids

I agree to have my boat winterized by Fox Road Marina and have been notified that any attempt to
operate my boat, after the winterization process has occurred, nullifies the winterization. Any
engine operation would make the boat susceptible to freeze damage and would require Rewinterization or serious engine damage could occur. The cost of freeze damage due to use after
winterization will be at the owner’s expense. Furthermore, I will not hold Fox Road Marina
responsible for any damages which could occur due to weather, theft, or any other condition beyond
their control. Fox Road Marina is not responsible for the removal of the transom drain plug or for any
damages which could occur due to improper storage.
De-winterization involves reconnecting hoses, charging battery, & removing shrink-wrap:
De-winterization is billed hourly at the rate of $85/hr.
I agree to the following regarding the de-winterization of the above-described boat:
____ If my boat is floating in a wet-slip, I agree to have my boat de-winterized in the Spring of 2014.
I understand that my boat is inoperable until this time.
______My boat is in a slip depending on MARINE BILGE HEATERS and dock electricity to keep
systems from freezing. Fox Road Marina will attempt to notify me if they lose power to the docks;
however, Fox Road Marina does not assume responsibility for the safety of my boat.
