Request form ‘Conference allowance’ (international scientific conference) for
Young Researchers Humanities and Social Sciences – AY 2013-2014
The Doctoral School for the Humanities and Social Sciences can grant a financial contribution of max. 500 euro to
young researchers (doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers), for attending and actively participating in an
international conference, symposium or summer school.
Criteria:
- The applicant is a: (*)
o researcher who does not benefit from a bench fee (research support fee)
o researcher who benefits from an IRO or DBOF scholarship
o self-supporting researcher
- the applicant should actively participate in the conference, e.g. by means of a poster presentation; or will
attend a summer school
- the applicant will file his application, including:
o the approval and recommendation of his/her supervisor,
o a copy of the programme of the conference/summer school or a letter of invitation or letter of acceptance
(presentation),
o the evidence of application for conference allowance near FWO or ASL
*PhD or postdoctoral researchers financed by project funding (such as FWO, BOF, IUAP, EU, IWT – not
limitative), cannot apply for this grant
