Trash Etiquette
Three types of trash are handled at Beebe + Runyan:
1. Recyclables
 Trash chute can be used if smaller than a shoebox.
 Larger recyclables can be recycled in the recycle container
by the trash bin on P1.










Clean aluminum and tin cans
Clean paper
Clean plastic bottles and containers (lids OK)
Clean milk, juice and soup cartons
Small, clean cardboard boxes
NO kitchen waste
NO boxes larger than a shoe box in the chute
NO pizza boxes
NO light bulbs
NO glass - Glass recycling is available at drop-off dumpster
at the east end of the Heartland of America parking lot.
2. Garbage




Trash chute can be used for kitchen-sized garbage bags.
Large bags of garbage go in brown garbage bin on P1.
Styrofoam packing blocks go in brown garbage bin on P1.
Garbage includes:
 Kitchen waste
 Everything else BUT
NO clean cardboard boxes in garbage
NO clean recyclables in garbage
3. Cardboard boxes - larger than a shoebox
 Recycled at designated bins on P1.
Flatten your boxes to allow room for your neighbors’ boxes.
