If this new plan is not listed in the current NAU academic program inventory , then you must first complete the “Proposal to establish a New Degree” form.

All Plans with NCATE designation, or plans seeking NCATE designation, must include an

NCATE Accreditation Memo of Approval from the NAU NCATE administrator prior to college curricular submission.

UCC proposals must include an 8-term plan.

As Hispanic Serving Institutions, NAU and AWC together received a grant to bring additional

Bachelor degrees in the STEM areas to Yuma County. This degree satisfies that requirement. More importantly, this degree will allow students to achieve a degree allowing for the use of technical skills with the management skills and is in very high demand in throughout Yuma County.

What Can I Do with an Industrial Technology Management, Bachelor of Applied Science?

If you are seeking a career in the trades (automotive, welding, industrial technology, solar power installation, or an electrical, HVAC or other construction trades), this challenging degree program will prepare with the skills of the trade and the ability to manage or even start you own business.

The successful graduate will:

Have the trade skills (Automotive, Welding, Industrial Technology, Solar Power Installation, and Electrical, HVAC, or other construction trades).

Will understand and have the skills to move into management in any of these trades

Will understand and have the skills to execute entrepreneurial ventures in any of these trades.

Admission requirements over and above admission to NAU are required.

To be admitted into a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) plan, you must have an associate's degree, either completed or in progress, at a regionally accredited institution and the associate's degree must be completed prior to the awarding of the B.A.S. degree.

The associate's degree major or emphasis must be in a computer, or information technology, related field within 10 years of your application to Northern Arizona University.

Liberal Studies Requirement

Please note that you may use the same course to satisfy both a liberal studies and a B.A.S.

Requirement.

You can include courses with the course prefixes used in your specialization to satisfy liberal studies requirements, although you can't use the specific courses from your specialization.

Student with a complete AGEC from Arizona Community Colleges will have met the 35 units of liberal studies requirements.

Students transferring into this program from California may meet NAU's liberal studies requirements by completing an IGETC at a California Community College. Please contact an advisor for more information

Associate Degree Transfer Block

As noted above in the B.A.S. Requirements, students in the Technology Management specialization are required to take BBA 340 from the Technical Quantitative block.

Industrial Technology Management Specialization Requirements (21 units)

A Specialization Milestone is required before students can access the Specialization courses.

Verification of proper credentials is required for the Milestone. Please work with an advisor for more information.

General Electives

Additional coursework is required, if, after you have met the previously described requirements, you have not yet completed a total of 120 units of credit.

You may take these remaining courses from any academic areas, using these courses to pursue your specific interests and goals. We encourage you to consult with your advisor to select the courses that will be most advantageous to you. (Please note that you may also use prerequisites or transfer credits as electives if they weren't used to meet major, minor, or liberal studies requirements.)
