Departmental Graduate Teaching Assistantship Application
Application Process:
Graduate students seeking to be considered for the Teaching Assistantship positions in the Department of Kinesiology
must either be accepted into the Kinesiology Graduate Programs (i.e. Kinesiology and/or Sport Management) or have
submitted application to the Kinesiology Graduate Programs. All application materials required for Kinesiology and/or
Sport Management need to be submitted to the Graduate School at WIU prior to being considered for an assistantship.
Only those applicants who are eligible and/or accepted as a Full Admission Status into the Kinesiology Graduate
Programs (probationary admissions are not eligible) may be granted a teaching assistantship.
This Departmental Graduate Teaching Assistantship Application needs to be returned directly to the Department of Kinesiology.

Section I: Work History
Please include a detailed discussion of your previous work experiences within the field of kinesiology/ physical
education/exercise science/ sport. Additionally, please include any relevant experiences as an undergraduate student that
may be applicable to your teaching application (awards, internships, classroom teaching, coaching/ athletic experiences,
etc.). You may attach a resume or additional information to your application .
Section II: Laboratory Experiences
Please provide any additional information regarding your ability/experiences working in an exercise physiology research
or laboratory environment. This can include any laboratory experiences during previous academic work as a student.
Please be as specific as possible (i.e. types of equipment you have worked with, procedures you have conducted types of
specific tests you have uses, etc.)

order to fulfill the Human Wellbeing portion of General Education and the primary duty for our Graduate Assistants is to
