We at the Church of St. Andrew believe that marriage is a sacred covenant, which should be approached in the deepest spirit of faith and commitment. We look forward to meeting with you to make your wedding an occasion to celebrate your faith in God and love for one another.
Church of St. Andrew is pleased to officiate weddings for persons who are not currently members at the church but are looking for a church to join. However, Church of St. Andrew cannot accept weddings of couples who have an active church relationship with another congregation in our local area and for non-members who reside out-of-town.
This brochure will provide you information regarding pre-marital counseling and planning of your wedding ceremony. After reviewing this brochure you will need to contact Rev. Bensman or the church secretary 419-385-6160 to confirm your wedding date and times and to set up an appointment for your first pre-marital counseling session. You will also need to put down a $100.00 deposit to hold the church for that date if you are a non-member.
You will need to attend 3 pre-marital counseling sessions with
Rev. Bensman. If the pastor feels you would be better served by talking to a professional marriage counselor she will require at least two sessions with a professional counselor.
We do have a Saturday Worship Service at 6:30 P.M. on the first
Saturday of every month so your wedding ceremony and pictures must be done and out of the church by 4:30 P.M. if your date is the first Saturday.

A wedding held in a church is a worship occasion.
Therefore, we do not allow any alcohol on the premises.
Additionally, we do not permit flash photography in the
Sanctuary during the service. Wedding guests are also not permitted to take flash photography during the service.
Please share the following information with your professional photographer:
 If pictures during the ceremony are desired, natural light photography may be used from the rear of the Sanctuary.
 Professional photographers are to consult with the officiating minister prior to the beginning of the service.
 The attire of the photographer and assistants should be appropriate for the wedding
 It is the responsibility of the wedding party to communicate our photography policy to family, friends, and especially photographers.
You will need to apply for your marriage license well ahead of your wedding date. You may obtain your Lucas County marriage license at the Probate Court, Adams and Erie Streets, Toledo, Ohio.
The minister will need your license at the time of your wedding rehearsal.
Jenny Tharpe is our Wedding Coordinator. Bruce Histed is our
Church Organist who has many years of experience. Please let
Bruce (phone: 419-704-0873) know at least 3 months in advance of your wedding date. It is your responsibility to contact Bruce.
We ask that please no rice, birdseed or balloons be given out or thrown after the ceremony.
Checks made payable to the church/individuals must be paid at the wedding rehearsal.
