New introductions from ATI Decorative laminates will attract water lovers from kitchen to bath this January. For KBIS 2015, ATI expands its MirroFlex Tub and Shower program, and adds patterns to its popular MirroFlex Backsplash line. MirroFlex is ATI’s cornerstone product, created in 1979, and the most enduring thermoplastic laminate on the market. From wall panels to wainscoting, ceilings, backsplashes and tub and shower surrounds, it’s an all-in-one innovative surface. This winter, ATI expands their MirroFlex Tub and Shower Surround program with three new patterns: 1. Subway – the classic tile pattern, made popular in turn-of-the-century transit stations 2. Herringbone - subway tiles in a zigzag pattern 3. Crossroads – alternating bands of horizontal and vertical subway tiles These patterns join the existing family of Cascade, Wavation and Savannah patterns, and all are available in five finishes: White, Travertine, Galvanized, Bermuda Bronze and Antique Bronze. Surfaces are impact, chemical, scratch and fire resistant, and each surround comes with finish trim to create a polished, professional appearance. Tub and shower surrounds are a light, DIY product, simple enough for the everyday homeowner to install but with advantages attractive to the hospitality market. The three-piece, thermoplastic tub and shower surrounds include a back panel and two side walls that fold to fit into an 18-inch by 18-inch by 51-inch box, lowering shipping costs and taking up minimal warehouse and worksite space. The product can be fitted over existing tile and is a snap to install, taking two people two hours or less. The MirroFlex surface can be cut on-site with scissors or utility knife, and requires only a two-week lead time for production, well above industry standards. --more-- Page 2, ATI Decorative Laminates Splashy Introductions for KBIS New Backsplash Patterns Not to be outdone, the popular MirroFlex Backsplash program adds four patterns to its lineup, bringing the program to 24 patterns total. Subway, the classic tile pattern, made popular in turn-of-the-century transit station walls California - full and half-tile sizes arranged in a perpendicular pattern Just like the tub and shower surrounds, MirroFlex Backsplashes are ultra-light; chemical, stain, impact resistant; and fire retardant. The 18-inch by 24-inch panels have been specifically designed to fit backsplash areas with minimal waste. They feature a built-in overlap (BIO) which makes seams less visible.
