TIRE AND OIL RECYCLING:
Agriculture Tire Collection and Agriculture
Equipment Waste Oil Collection (100 gallon
min.) – Please call the Dinwiddie Extension

FORAGES:
Many of you are feeding hay at this time for
livestock due to the dry conditions and damage to
hay fields. If you plan to cut/chop corn, millet, or
sorghum please test for nitrates. For more
information please call the office at 469-4514.

The Fair dates are August 4 – 7 and it is being
held at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie.

Workshops for women landowners who would
like to know more about managing their family’s
farm and forest lands.

Appomattox River SWCD
Virginia Cooperative Extension and Appomattox
River SWCD will be holding their annual HHW
Collection in October again this year. Please call
the office for more information and watch for
additional information in the months ahead.

and Forage Field Day
DINWIDDIE COUNTY FAIR:
Dinwiddie Extension Office will have a big
display at the Dinwiddie County Fair this year!!
We know that it has been extremely dry this year
but we would like to encourage any farmers or
residents that would like to register fruits,
vegetables and/or field crops in the fair
(Extension is holding a contest) please call or
