Dear School Representative, We are pleased to launch our first photographic competition in conjunction with our first Educational Zone Marquee at The East Anglian Game and Country Fair at the Norfolk Showground 25/26th April, at which the two overall finalists will be announced. Entries are now open, and details of the criteria for entry are as follows:The competition is split into two categories: Junior 8-11 years* My Favourite Thing Pupils’ brief: We would like you to photograph your favourite thing. You can take the picture in your home, your garden or somewhere else. Your favourite thing might be a toy or a kitchen object, a clock, an old pair of shoes or something else – you decide! Senior 12+ years* My Favourite Place Pupils’ brief: We would like you to photograph a place that means something to you. This place might be in your home or garden or somewhere completely different. You might want to place props into the picture to illustrate what the place means to you. It could be somewhere you sit and read, a place where you do a hobby, or just a place you like to be – it’s up to you! The Detail Entry Criteria For pupils: Your image must be at least 1mb and may not exceed 5mb and must be in jpeg format (See Michael Palmer’s Image Quest Photography tips page for re-sizing information). If there are any people in your image, you must obtain their permission before submitting your entry. Your entry photo can be taken on any digital camera including a mobile phone. We are looking for good choice of subject and creativity above image quality.
