Prior to joining Sustainable Energy Advantage, she was a Senior Consultant in the Emerging Technology group of the Energy Practice at Navigant Consulting. Mimi’s project experience includes modeling the New England REC market and the MA SREC market, evaluating RPS programs, offshore wind cost analysis, creating a strategic plan for an energy storage company, and analyzing the role of energy storage in addressing the challenges associated with renewable energy integration. She also coordinated the development of a computational tool for assessing the costs and benefits of smart grid projects, and was involved in numerous analyses on how different legislative options would impact employment in the wind industry. He successfully led a stakeholder group that developed the market rules enabling demand resources to participate in New England’s wholesale capacity and energy markets. He was the recipient of the “Excellence in Diplomacy” award and was one of 15 outstanding environmental and energy advocates honored by the Conservation Services Group on October 23, 2009. Mr. Yoshimura is an economics and public policy expert with 30 years of domestic and international experience in the electric power industry. Before joining ISO New England in 2002, he spent two years in Jakarta, Indonesia as a Government advisor on electricity sector regulation and restructuring. Mr. Yoshimura is the former Director of the Electric Power Division for the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities in Boston. Additionally, he has held senior consultant positions with La Capra Associates, XENERGY/KEMA Consulting Inc., and the Institute of International Education. Mr. Yoshimura holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Philosophy from the University of Montana.
