Persuasive Essay Topics

opinion. You can only be wrong if you use inaccuracies and misinformation to persuade
your audience. You must choose one of the following writing prompts:
Globalization:
1. Industrialization has resulted in a global economy that connects developed and
developing nations. This interconnectedness has profound and far-reaching effects on
humanity. Write a persuasive essay that presents your answer to the following question:
Is economic globalization good for humanity?
In the process of writing your paper, be sure to define and discuss globalization, its effects,
and why or why not it is more beneficial to humanity.
Imperialism:
2. Imperialism is a policy of dominating another country through any combination of
military, economic, political, or cultural methods. Currently, The United States is widely
viewed as the only global “superpower.” Write a persuasive essay that presents your
answer to the following question:
Is the US bombing campaign against ISIS in Iraq and Syria justified, or is it an act of
US imperialism in the Middle East?
In the process of writing your paper, be sure to explain the origin & goals of ISIS, and why
or why not US bombing is justified.
