Real World Placement Program
Placement Assessment Form
Under certain conditions Personal Accident Insurance coverage is available for unpaid work experience outside the
curriculum (not for credit) as part of the Careers and Employment Real World Placement Program (RWPP).
Application Process
Complete this application form and email it to rwpp@qut.edu.au for consideration.
The RWPP team will contact the host organisation to seek clarification on what the placement will entail, and to
ensure that the placement meets program requirements.
The RWPP team will contact the student within 10 working days to let them know whether the placement has been
accepted into the program or not, and will provide further advice on the next steps.
Conditions

If approved the work experience must be undertaken through the Real World Placement Program (RWPP), this involves
attending a mandatory hour long orientation session.

The student must be currently enrolled or have graduated no more than three months ago.

The work experience must be directly related to the student’s current course of study.

Work experience is undertaken for a period necessary to observe or learn from the host organisation and is no more than
30 days (240hours) in a year.
