Credits on the 400 level must have the UG designation, and are limited to six (6) credits at the 400-level. The Pre-Candidacy Review will be held in the student’s third or fourth semesters; the Director of the School of Art will set the date. The PC form is due to School of Art Office Personnel two weeks before the review. Student must meet with the Director of the Gallery of Visual Arts within one week of passing the PC Review. Two weeks after passing the PC Review, student must select their thesis committee and determine a Committee Chair. The Thesis Committee Form is due to Art Office Personnel one week after the committee has been formed. Student must meet with their Thesis Committee during their fourth, fifth and sixth semesters. Student must meet with the Director of the Gallery of Visual Arts within the first month of school during the semester prior to the Thesis Exhibition. Student must schedule their Thesis Oral Exam within a month of the Thesis Exhibition. The Thesis Oral Exam Form is due to the Art Office Personnel two weeks prior to the exam. A strong rough draft of the written thesis is due to the committee at least one week before the Oral Exam. The Thesis Committee Chair issues final approval of the thesis. Committee members are not required to read thesis over the summer; the thesis is must be completed by the student’s sixth semester.
